CHILDREN OF VULNERABLE FAMILIES PROJECT (CVF)

In a family, where either of the parents is imprisoned, it is the children who get affected the most.

Children Behind Bars

Losing out on all counts, particularly in schooling and social security, these children become the substance of abuse and thus become potential criminals when they grow up.

The CVF Project identifies such children from the prison or sometimes even from the slum areas and ensures their schooling. It also provides financial support wherever required. A Counselor and local Guardian along with the Project Manager not only oversee the physical, emotional and mental well being of the child, but also interact with the parents, relatives, school and prison authorities. In case, the child has no place to call as home, he/she is admitted into identified residential schools, with the Foundation taking upon the role of a Guardian. IVF takes care of all the needs of the child, including books, uniforms, clothes, schools fees, etc. The IVF Counselor and local Guardian also visit the child's home regularly. The children are also taken for educational as well as recreational tours.
