Rural
Development Project In collaboration with the Village Panchayats
of the neighbouring villages of Sohna district of Gurgaon,
Haryana and also Navjyoti, The India Vision Foundation is
running the Rural Development Project; the first welfare project
aimed at total development of the locals, with primary concentration
on bringing about a change in social attitudes of the rural
community, towards women and girl child.
An integrated multipurpose Rural Development Centre has come
up with the support of Royal Norwegian Embassy. There are
various facilities provided. They are as follows:
- Formal and Non-Formal education
- Counselling and support services
- Health Care Facilities with fully equipped Homeopathic
dispensary
- Vocational Training centre which provides to the women,
training in Stitching, Tailoring, Embroidery & Dhurri
and Carpet Weaving.
- A Computer Training centre providing advanced courses
in computer technology.

In addition to this, the Foundation is running an integrated
Balwari programme, in twelve adjoining villages, wherein,
not only basic education is provided, but emphasis is on imparting
moral and social values, with the aim of overall development
of the area. The Counsellor and the Medical Officer also visit
these Balwaris regularly.
